At Russell & Abbott, we’ve always taken immense pride in being part of the local community. That’s why we can deliver such fantastic customer service: the people who call on us are our neighbors, and many of them become friends as well. The air conditioning equipment we supply to homeowners is the same that we use in our own homes—so we know exactly what an individual home needs for the best in comfort.
I’m thrilled to announce that we’re going to be at a number of upcoming late summer events here in Blount County. And we’ll be bringing along our “Ice Box,” a place where you can come inside and chill out with a powerful air conditioning system—just like the many air conditioning systems we install for our customers.
Check out our schedule below! We’d love for you to drop by and help support the community along with us! You can step out of the heat into our Ice Box when you need it!
- August 4: The Shine On Community Celebration and Kickoff Concert at the Shed Smokehouse & Juke Joint, featuring the WannaBeatles and the Aaron Tracy Band. This is a family-friendly event including children’s activities. Gates open at 6 p.m.
- August 5: The 12th Annual SlimFest at the New Midland Plaza Amphitheater in Alcoa, from 6 p.m. until midnight. This is a free outdoor concert for the community to help raise money for the children of Blount County. Featuring live entertainment from Smooth Groove, Natalia Taylar, Avenue C, and many other special guests.
- August 13: Garden to Gavel Farm to Table Event: Turning Mistakes into Opportunities. Featuring a plated and served gourmet dinner and live entertainment. Hosted by the Harmony Family Center (Camp Montvale) at 4901 Montvale Rd. Maryville, TN 37803. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Blount County Youth Court. Call 865-273-5942 for tickets.
Reminder: Keep Your “Ice Box” in Good Shape
We like calling our portable air conditioning station the Ice Box, but of course when we arrange for a new installation of an air conditioning system in Lenoir City, TN or elsewhere, we won’t change the house itself into a freezer! We understand just what sort of system a home needs to hit the comfort sweet spot when the outdoor temperature rises. If you have an air conditioning system that’s either failing to keep your cooled down, or is running all the time and making your home too cold (yes, this happens—often!), then just reach out to our technicians to take care of the repairs. The heat can get brutal in August—something that I sure know about because I’m wearing a permanent black coat—and with all the strain an AC has already been under in the summer so far, this is the time of year when breakdowns are most likely. Make sure you’ve got our number handy!
