Two well-known East Tennessee heating and cooling businesses have combined their operations.
MK Russell & Abbott Heating and Air Conditioning of Maryville, which marked its 37th anniversary this year, has purchased Alcoa Heating and Cooling, founded by Jamie and Dorothy Rader in 2006. The Alcoa-based company will be part of MK Russell & Abbott, which provides residential heating and air conditioning services primarily in Blount County.
“My wife and I are moving to Chattanooga because of her job promotion, and I wanted to be sure my heating and air customers continue to be taken care of,” said Rader, Alcoa Heating and Cooling owner. “Each of my customers is special to me and I was picky about who would take over. MK Russell & Abbott team members are experienced professionals, and they stand behind their service. My customers can trust them and rely on them to do the right thing.”
For the past several years, Alcoa Heating and Cooling has been a Readers Choice award winner, and MK Russell and Abbott was a finalist for the 2014 Business of the Year, an award given by the Blount Chamber of Commerce. Both companies are dedicated to serving the community and providing excellent customer service.
“It’s really a seamless transition because Alcoa customers can still use the same phone numbers they are used to, plus Jamie will be available to us on a consultative basis should the need arise,” said Chris Hurley, MK Russell and Abbott owner. “Customers can expect that we will gladly service any brand of equipment, and if a new system is needed, there are many options within the Trane line of high efficiency equipment and financing terms for almost anyone.”
MK Russell & Abbott will also offer Alcoa Heating and Air customers the opportunity to join its “Comfort Club,” beginning at $14 a month, which guarantees first-in-line emergency service, two seasonal system tune-ups, a professional system cleaning and other benefits.
“A lot of attention has been given to the black dog that people see on the MKRA trucks and in our advertising. There are reasons for that dog. Think about the qualities of man’s best friend: loyal, reliable, eager to please–that’s how we do business,” Hurley said.
